Namaste and a warm welcome to the 13th edition of the IndoGerman Film Week, where cinema meets culture and storytelling transcends borders. Hosted once again at the iconic Babylon Cinema in Berlin, the festival returns with renewed spirit and celebration, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in the richness and diversity of Indian cinema and cultural traditions.

This year’s curtain rises with a bold and beautiful tribute to grassroots storytelling. Our Grand Opening German Premiere: , "Nukkad Naatak - A Street Play", draws from the vibrant tradition of Indian street theatre—stories told in public spaces, free for all, resonating with real-life voices. The director reimagines this beloved form for the screen, creating an experience that speaks to India’s street theatrical roots and the universal power of human connection. As a special treat, the film’s cast will be present for a live Q&A, bringing audience and artist into a shared moment of dialogue.

We’re proud to showcase films in over Sixteen Indian languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Odiya, Kashmiri, Manipuri, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Ladakhi, Konyak, Malvani and more—alongside films in English, German, and silent cinema. This diversity reflects the kaleidoscope of Indian identities and the depth of stories born in its many regions.
